Undertow

Undertow makes a sound duck on every beat and swell back, the pumping of side-chain compression without setting up a side-chain. One lever sets how deep the pull is and how it returns.

  • The beat comes from the DAW's timeline, so the pump is always in time; "follow input" listens to the kick in the sound itself instead.
  • The lever runs Calm, Breath, Swell, Surge, Storm.
  • Characters: House, Ambient, Trap, Lo-fi (each with its own attack, hold and release shape).
